While at all 124 Cybercrime cases registered in the capital in 2019, the number fell slightly to 123 in 2020.
“We found most cases related to fraud after a transaction through net banking, UPI and UPI payments.

In some cases victims, which are not fluent in online transactions, sharing their passwords after being cheated by cyber criminals.
“We have polished people not to share their account details and pins with strangers.
The bank has also sent a message of consciousness to their customers,” said Deputy Commissioner of the Uma Police Shankar Dash.
The recent commission police formed cyber cells and issued aid number (7440006709) to save victims of cyber crime.
Although the police station registered a case and conducted an investigation, cyber cells had intervened immediately with the bank or payment gateway and tried to take the victim’s money tricked.
