KABUL: Taliban on Tuesday arrested Farah, the capital of Farah Afghanistan province, local media reported, with the city into the seventh provincial capital to fall into the attack of rebel groups which were less than one week exceeding several major regions in the north of the country.
“Most of the city of Farah, the capital of Farah Province, including the compound of the Governor and HQ police, fell to the Taliban after the clash today, said the source,” Tolo News Tweeted.
Afghanistan witnessed a surge in violence because the Taliban had intensified his attack on Afghan forces and civilians with a full setback for foreign troops just a few weeks.
In the past few days, the Taliban had arrested six provincial capitals, especially in the north of the country, including Kunduz, Taluqan City, Sheberghan, Zaraj, and Capital Samangan Province Aybak City.
The severe battle continued between Taliban and Afghan troops in several cities.
Meanwhile, India has asked its citizens to immediately leave Afghanistan by making arrangements to go home before commercial flight services are stopped in this country.
