Thane: A woman died and six people were injured after their car fell into the canyon at Malshej Ghat in early Sunday, the police in the Murbad district in Thane.
The car was on his way from Mumbai to Ahmednagar, a Tokawade police station said, added that darkness had hampered search operations before several trekkers from Aurangabad saved those who were trapped in the incident.
“The car driver might lose control.
While six residents managed to get out of the car in time, a passenger of a woman, who was identified as Sakhubai Ugale, failed to do it and died.
The car caught fire when he fell into the canyon,” he said.
