Patna: Police Supaul on Friday restored the car looted from the owner of Delhi in the district on Wednesday.
Two people, including one Suraj Kumar (24) from Delhi, were arrested.
Suraj who has ordered a premium taxi through a mobile-based application in Mahipalpur in Delhi to travel to Balaji Guesthouse in Supulul Town for RS27,000.
Suraj, along with the other three, looted the car and cellphone from the owner of the Satpal Singh after reaching Supulul on Wednesday morning.
Supulul SP Manoj Kumar said Suraj Mohammad Sarfaraz’s friend aka Chotu (22) was also arrested.
“The car was found abandoned near the gas station under the area of the Kisehanpur Supaul police station on Thursday night,” he said.
Kumar said the raids riding two other people involved in booty.
SP said the defendant had tied the Satpal and tried to take him to a remote place on a bicycle, but he managed to jump and escape.
“Satpal approached the police on Wednesday night Sho City Police Vinod Kumar Singh said both of them were arrested on Thursday afternoon and then the car was recovered.
Sho said the Satpal belonged to Auraiya in Uttar Pradesh, but was resolved in Delhi and had several cars to run as a taxi .
“Suraj family belongs to Mallik Chowk, Supual, but settled in Patel Nagar in Delhi almost two decades ago.
He ordered a car with an Ishtekhar friend to reach Supulul, “he said.
