New Delhi: The Dengue case in Delhi this season has surged to more than 7,100, with almost 5,600 of them recorded in November, according to the Civic report released on Monday.
On November 15, the city has recorded a total cumulative 5,277 Dengue case, making it the highest number of cases of transmitted diseases through a vector recorded in the national capital in a year since 2015.
Nearly 1,850 new cases have been recorded at the last one week.
However, there was no new death because Dengue was reported.
According to the civil report on the disease transmitted through vectors released on Monday, a total of 7,128 cases of dengue have been recorded this season until November 20.
In previous years, the total dengue case reported was 4431 (2016), 4726 (2017), 2798 (2018), 2036 (2019) and 1072 (2020), according to the report.
In 2015, the city had witnessed a large-scale fever outbreak, when the number of dengue cases reported had passed 10,600 in October itself, making it the worst outbreak of a disease transmitted through vectors in the national capital since 1996.
