The case of pneumonia among children rose on Patna

Patna: Hospitals in the city witness the increase in high fever cases, pneumonia and acute respiratory pressure syndrome (ARDS) among children.
Although the doctors hit these diseases because the problem of the rainy season was exacerbated due to old negligence, some cases severe pneumonia showed a bacterial infection that affected the lungs and other vital organs.
“About 40 to 50% of the total number of children reaching the OPD pediatric from Nalanda Medical College and hospitals (NMCH) per day suffered high fever, coughing and pneumonia,” said Dr.
Binod Kumar Singh’s Hospital Supervisor on Saturday.
He said at least 20 children aged between two and five years have been treated with severe pneumonia in the Pediatric Department of Hospitals and mostly in oxygen support.
“All doctor staff and nurses from the Pediatric Department have been directed to immediately admit every child who reaches there with high fever or pneumonia,” he added.
There were around 20 to 25% increase in high fever cases, pneumonia and cold among children in Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) in recent weeks, said Medical Supervisory of Hospital Dr.
I Thakur.
“Some children come with severe conditions and they are mostly called from other hospitals.
We have doctors who are dedicated, nursing staff, and adequate facilities with oxygen support in the pediatric ward to care for children with severe illness,” added Dr.
Thakur.
The Head of the Pediatric Department in the Indonesia Institute of Medical Sciences-Patna (AIIMS-P) Dr.
Lokesh Tiwari said about 15 children between two and eight years was being hospitalized after being referred to from other health facilities.
“We treat cases of ARDS as Covid complications late with immunological disorders.
In some cases, we find children as positive antibodies.
This shows that they were previously positive Covid, although without symptoms.
ARD affects the lungs and blood circulation of children, “Add Dr.
Tiwari.
He advised people not to ignore the problem of high, cold fever, coughing and seizures in children.
The head of the Telemedicine Department of AIIMS-P, Dr.
Anil Kumar, said people must take care of the right children and not ignore their health complications.
He added some young men and senior residents also reached into hospitals with complaints of pneumonia and other severe diseases.
