Gorakhpur: A sub-inspector was caught with red reception bribery in Santkabir Nagar on Tuesday.
The anti-corruption team arrested the Dhanghata police station, Sub Inspector Ram Milan Yadav received Rs 10,000 as a bribe at his home and sent him to Hakimu detention after registering his case, police said.
One Abdullah Village Karma under the Dhanghata police station had a fight with someone from his village and many local police efforts registered a case against the defendant on May 8, 10,000 as a bribe.
After Yadav refused to reduce the number after many requests, Abdullah filed a complaint with the Lucknow anti-corruption team.
The Anti-Corruption Team Inspector Gorakhpur Ramdhari Mishra, together with his team reached Ram Milan’s residence on Tuesday afternoon and arrested him to accept a bribe of Rs 10,000, said Inspector Ramdhari Singh.
