Mumbai: Direct Tax Center (CBDT) has announced that the date of submission of manual form 15CA and 15CB has been extended until August 15.
In accordance with the income tax law, 1961, there are requirements for completing this formed electronically in the IT portal.
Form 15CA is a declaration made by remitters that have been reduced by taxes at the source of payments made to non-resident.
Form 15CB is a certificate equipped by a rented accountant that the provisions of the relevant tax agreement and I-T action have been fulfilled, when making payments abroad.
The official dealer (bank) can send money abroad only after this form has been sent (aka uploaded).
However, taxpayers continue to face difficulties in uploading this form on the newly launched I-T portal.
Previously, CBDT had allowed the submission of this form in a manual format with official dealers until July 15.
Because of continuing difficulties, this date has been extended until August 15, states CBDT.
A facility will be provided on the new e-filing portal to upload this form later on the purpose of the generation of document identification numbers, add a press record.
