New Delhi: Central Investigation Bureau (CBI) has arrested a man for allegedly disguised as Chairman of the National Highways Authority India (NHAI) and cheated someone in a tone of 80 lakh Rs, officials said on Friday.
The defendant Manoj Kumar Jha, a resident of Madhubani in Bihar, was arrested from Gurgaon in the national capital area, they added.
The central probe body restored a variety of burdensome documents and around 200 SIM cards during searches in eight places in Delhi, Kolkata, Madhubani and Bokaro Steel City after the arrest, the next official said.
CBI spokesman RC Joshi said the defendant was currently in custody probe agent until August 9.
