Bhubaneswar: CBI on Wednesday conducted a simultaneous raid in 15 locations in Odisha, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh in connection with the alleged fraud of multi-crore coal.
The search was conducted on site officials from East Coal officials Limited (ECL), including two former general managers (one serving and one pension), manager (security), inspector (security) and choleri agent.
Cash almost Rs 20 lakh, jewelry and property documents restored from the premise of the powerful general manager.
“Property documents, locker locks and burdensome documents recover from other defendants ownership,” Read the CBI statement.
The CBI registered the case on November 27, 2020, against six people accused and unknown to allegations of illegal coal mining and theft in the ECL rental area, asansol and a private statement adjacent, the statement was added.
