Mumbai: Investigation Center Bureau (CBI), investigating a corruption case against the former Minister of Maharashtra, Anil Deshmukh, has detained the son-in-law and advocate to question the allegedly different bribery cases.
The CBI accused Deshmukh’s colleagues had bribed lower ranking CBI officials to prepare reports that gave Clean Chit to Deshmukh at the initial level of preliminary investigation (PE).
The CBI identified his official and immediately registered a separate corruption case against him and Deshmukh’s colleague for investigations.
The CBI allows the son-in-law to leave after a brief investigation, but constantly questioned the advocate for his role in bribery incidents.
Central agents have begun investigated on controversial PE reports circulated on social media recently.
CBI sources stated that they had done Deshmukh in the direction of the Bombay High Court, and at that stage, Deshmukh’s colleague had approached CBI officials accused of manipulating the report.
But it was unsuccessful and the CBI registered firs after the last PE who showed Deshmukh’s involvement in corruption when he was the Minister of State House.
Recently, manipulated PE reports were circulated between the media.
Former Police Commissioner Mumbai Param Bir Singh has accused that then the Minister of Home Affairs, Deshmukh, has asked police officers (now dismissed) Waze Sachin to collect Rs 100 Crore illegally from the owner of the bar in the city every month.
Deshmukh also repeated demand after calling DCP Raju Bhujbal and ACP Sanjay Patil in his official bungalow.
The CBI also investigated the report of the former Head of the State Intelligence Department, Rashmi Shukla, where he had recorded telephone conversations from several influential people who promised the desired post to police officers, including the exchange veins.
Based on FIR CBI, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has also registered money laundering cases against Deshmukh and capturing PS and His PA in this case.
ED officials were looking for Deshmukh from the last two months to record his statement in this case, but in vain.
