Bhubaneswar: Central Investigation Bureau (CBI) here on Wednesday registered a case against a senior officer of the Rourkela steel factory (RSP) and a private mining company Andhra Pradesh for allegedly deceiving RSP to almost Rs 99.47 lakh.
According to CBI FIR, private company M / S Dinesh Das & Sons Mines & Steels Pvt.
LTD Gotivation at Andhra Pradesh, represented by the director of Dinesh Chandra Das, Tarak Nath and Tanmay Nath Das allegedly deceived RSP by sending bills and false documents.
This company is an official quartzite supplier, raw material, to RSP.
The company was allegedly conspiring with the Senior RSP (Traffic Department and Raw Materials) Languli Charan Behera along with several unknown high-ranking officials from the steel mills and Southeast trains and conducted alleged fraud between April 2015 and April 2018.
Suppliers (Personal Companies) submitted The bill is related to raw materials supplied to RSP by attaching forged and made punder sheets issued by the South-Eastern Railway (SER).
The company raised the weight of raw materials (quartzite) supplied to RSP and claimed higher payments through the bill, said a CBI officer.
During the investigation, the CBI found alleged involvement of Behera in fraud.
Behera accepted and processed the bill along with the forged shooting sheet worth Rs 99.47 lakh, delivered by suppliers.
Behera’s conspiracy and criminal acts caused RSP losses.
The search was made in three places in a place accused of Rourkela and RAIRAngpur, the officer said.
