Gurugram: At that time this year again.
When winter is only a few months away, the Gurugram government has begun to prepare to check the level of pollution.
It has decided to set the cellular team and the control room that will oversee the garbage along the way and check the dust level.
This step occurred a day after Minister of Chief Manohar Lal Khattar held a video conference with all district officials and directed them to take precautionary measures within seven days because of the harvest of rice plants – spread to start a week.
Districts are directed at ensuring that plants are harvested in staggering ways.
“We have no problem burning plants in this district.
But yes, we will certainly keep a tight watch on burning garbage in the open.
The control room will be arranged at the DC office,” Yash Garg said, deputy commissioner.
Garg refers to the steps taken during the rainy season to examine urban floods to ensure that the pollution level can also be handled during the winter.
“During the rain this year, we took the initiative to ensure the city was not flooded.
We can successfully prevent urban floods in most parts and waterlogging is also handled smoothly.
In the same way, we will handle air pollution this year,” he added .
At the meeting on Saturday, it was shown that Fatehabad District, Kaithal, Jind, Karnal, Sanda, and Kurukshetra were in the red zone for most of the farm fires last year while Jhajjar, Panipat, Sonīpat and Rohtak were yellow.
These districts were asked to make at least one special recruitment center (CHC) in each hotspot village.
These centers will provide machines and equipment to farmers to harvest plants.
Officials were also asked to regularly monitor 119 villages that fell in the red zone and 723 which were yellow.
“We aim to reduce the number of agricultural fires across the country and add an area with zero stainble burning this year.
We have mobilized two officials to monitor villages in the red category and one in the Yellow Category,” said an official from the Ministry of Agriculture.
District-District-District was also asked to carry out awareness campaigns to propeller propellers and provide Panchayat land to store straw bales.
A team of officials from the Department of Pollution, Revenue, Panchayat, Police and Agriculture are being formed at the village level to examine burning plant residues.
According to data compiled by the Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), September 2020 has seen the highest number of farms in Delhi-NCR in recent years.
In September 2016, a total of 759 agricultural fires were recorded in a radius of 400 km from Delhi.
