The cellular tower in Goa is strictly monitored, radiation in the norm: telecommunication dept

PANAJI: The wrong information about the radiation of the “worrying” cellular tower in Goa, the Telecommunications Department (DOT) said on Saturday.
It is said that some studies show that the electromagnetic radiation of cellular towers (EMF) has no adverse effects on public health.
Officials from the Goa Dot unit said that all cellular towers and EMF radiation they were monitored strictly and that all EMFs from cell towers in Goa were in the Norm of EMF India.
“Scientific research is a testimony of the fact that there is no health impact of this radiation on human health,” the Advisor to the Ministry of Health Union said Joshi.
Joshi said that the EMF project of the World Health Organization (WHO), after two decades of extensive research had strengthened that there was no evidence to support the claim that exposure to low-level electromagnetic fields was harmful to human health.
WHO has studied more than 25,000 articles and reached the conclusion that there was no correlation between Emf Tower Mobile emissions and the harmful impact on human health, Joshi said.
Joshi spoke in a cellular mobile tower at the conscious workshop, which was held by the Goa Dot unit as part of his public advocacy program to eliminate the myth of the EMF radiation.
Dot Advisor Ashok Kumar Mittal said that the mobile tower is very important for smooth connectivity not only in Goa but throughout the world.
“Increased information related to health problems caused by a worrying mobile tower,” he said.
Dot has tested all cell towers in Goa for EMF radiation and all towers have been found in accordance with Indian EMF norms, said Dot officials.
“Residents do not need to worry about the adverse effects of the cellular tower EMF radiation because they are strictly monitored and the evidence of credible sources has repuled out the possibility of all health hazards that will come from EMF radiation,” said Deputy Deputy Director General Sudhakar.
Dot officials say that cellular services and wireless broadband access are needed not only for rapid growth and modernization of various economic sectors, but also for the success of the government’s main initiatives related to education, health, finance, direct benefit transfers, e-KYC and e-Tata services Other Manage.
Telecom Towers is an important infrastructure to provide cellular connectivity in all fields, including residential areas, Mittal said.
In India, the EMF radiation norm is 10 times tighter than the limits prescribed by the International Commission for non-ionizing radiation protection (ICNIRP) and recommended by WHO, he said.
