New Delhi: The center on Thursday told Delhi High Court that it has asked the AAM AADMI party government to provide details of the efforts made until now to create medical oxygen buffer stocks.
The lack of oxygen has caused several deaths during Covid-19 seconds.
The answer came in response to requests from previous courts about what the center did to ensure there was inventory and availability of liquid medical oxygen (LMO) in Delhi.
While monitoring the management of Covid from Delhi on the pil submitted by Rakesh Malhotra’s advocate, the court has warned that other “shortcomings” will not be tolerated.
The center said that to examine the preparation of the AAP government about the creation of LMO buffer storage and Cryogenic tanker requirements, the Ministry of Health and family welfare was written to the state government on July 14 which saw preparation for the preparation.
“Furthermore, the ministry also held a meeting with the authority of the Delhi government along with other stakeholders concerned to discuss the details of preparation and to assess his adequacy,” said the reply.
The center further informs the Delhi High Court which has been tied up in Director of AIIMS Dr.
Randeep Guleria, who is also the chairman of the sub-committee in oxygen requirements for Delhi, to examine research reports prepared by IIT Delhi in oxygen supply chain management.
The High Court has also asked the Government AAP to submit a status report on stock buffers and provide details of the storage tank location and how many LMOs are stored there.
It also also asked the center to submit a status report in response to the recommendations carried out by IIT Delhi on oxygen storage in the national capital.
IIT-D, in his report, has proposed certain steps to be taken by the central government.
The previous AAP government considering the details of the steps taken to the Augment LMO, claiming now have 419 metric tons as a buffer.
It is said that the 171MT Stock Buffer has been installed and is in the process of installing 150MT.
Because there was no response from the center of this issue, the court recently asked about the steps taken in the highest order of the Supreme Court April 30 in the LMO buffer stock in Delhi, said it was waiting for a long time and had been postponed for the city to be prepared for Third wave.
The High Court also emphasized that during the second wave, “the problem / obstacle is LMO reaching Delhi.” “Authorities must work to ensure supply, storage, and availability of liquid oxygen in the city.”
