New Delhi: Slow Steps for Procurement and Administration of Covid-19 Vaccines by private centers in some countries is the cause ‘”serious concern”, the center said on Wednesday and advises the country and UTS to review status every day and ensure the dose indentation quickly placed with vaccine manufacturers.
Uni Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan led a high-level meeting with the Secretary of Health and senior immunization officials from 15 states and UTS on Wednesday in which areas of concern were highlighted, including the postponement of orders and the removal of doses and payments.
The role of the state and UTS for aggregation and demand roles from vaccine producers in delivery are quickly described in meetings.
Bhushan said many private covid vaccination centers (PCVCs) have not placed indentation for the quantum intended by the Covid-19 vaccine.
Many state governments need to facilitate the procurement of vaccines by PCVC, said the Ministry of Health statement.
“Countries are advised to review the status every day and ensure that the indentation for the quantum intended quickly is placed with a personal vaccine producer,” he said.
In many cases while the indentation for the Covid-19 vaccine has been placed with the state government, payment has not been carried out for the total number of indentation vaccines, the statement said.
“In some cases, no payment made for all indentation quantities.
State government and PCVC are advised to ensure that the gap between the number of indentations and payments to their procurement is reduced to zero,” he said.
Countries and UT participating in the meeting are Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Odisha, Telangana, Arunachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Gujarat, West Bengal, Delhi, Punjab and Haryana through video conferencing.
Nodal representatives from two Covid vaccine producers, MS / Bharat Biotech and Indian Serum Institute (SII), were also present.
Given the revised guidelines for the universalization of the Covid Countrywide vaccination program and recent advisers, the progress of the procurement and administration of vaccines by PCVC in these countries and UT is reviewed.
Countries are again informed about the use of the Co-Win platform as a backend management tool for orders placement, he said adding countries and UTS is needed to collect this request.
During the meeting, Bhushan showed that in some states, the number of paid vaccines was not physically appointed by the state / PCVC and asked them to quickly do it, the statement said.
In some states, wherever vaccine doses have been appointed by PCVC, the actual administration of the Covid-19 vaccine looks less than the number of vaccines raised.
“The state and PCVC are advised to review this and ensure that the balance of vaccine doses that are not used quickly,” said the statement.
At a slow vaccination rate through PCVC, it states it is recommended to review the status and progress of the procurement of vaccines by PCVC every day.
“They are advised to ensure fast and effective coordination between PCVC and vaccine producers to eliminate congestion, if any.” It was shown that the continued visibility of the Covid vaccine to countries by the Ministry of Health in the turn must be communicated to citizens by the state, “the statement stated.
The Ministry of Health Union has held five regional workshops to orient Nodal officers and PCVC to place indenting Co-Win, payment for quantum doses, etc.
The state is recommended to show if there is a further refresher training session needed.
This must be held based on the needs of the country, the statement is added.
