Bhubaneswar: Minister of Ashwini Vaishnaw Railway on Friday told Rajya Sabha that the government was examining the feasibility of the Bargarh-Nawapara train line project (Nuabada).
If the proposed project gets a central approval, the 142km railroad will touch mixed and bawur in the district of Bargarh.
The minister, responding to Rajya Sabha Prasana Acharya, said this survey for a new line between Bargarh Road and Nawapara Road via Padamp, was completed in 2018-19.

However, Bargarh-Nawapara through a rail line padamp (142km) has been identified by Odisha Rail Infrastructure Development Limited (Oridl), a joint venture from the Odisha government (51% of the shares) and the train ministry (49% of the shares) for developments.
The Odisha government has given its consent to bear the costs of land.
The proposal was taken for inspection, the Minister said in the answer.
Rama Krishna Purohit, a doctor from Bargarh, said this project would solve the problems of people living in the area.
“At present, there is no train connectivity to the Temple of Nrusinghanath.
If this project sees the light that day, it can touch the tourist spot when connecting Bargarh with Nabuada.
After having communication rail, this place will get more tourists and worshipers.” He added That Bargarh Regency people can save more than two hours when they travel to Raipur through Nabuada.
“Now we have to go to Raipur through Titlagarh.
We can even save time while traveling to Bhubaneswar.
Some places like bawbepur, Padampur, Gaisilet and Paikmal will get train connectivity after this project makes the center entry,” he said.
Rail train connectivity between Bargarh and Nuabada have become a long time for Bargarh Regency.
Political parties also encourage it now.
This train line will cut the trip time to Raipur and Bhubaneswar too.
