Chandigarh: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday confirmed that the center gave a priority to the agricultural sector to ensure that the income of double farmers and cultivation costs was reduced.
Overcoming his first rally for punjab bound-bound, which he did virtually for the segment of the Ludhiana and Fatehgarh Sahib, he said that state agriculture always lent strength to the country.
“The central government gives priority to the agricultural sector so that their double farmer’s income and their cultivation costs are reduced,” Modi said.
“Punjab Agriculture always lends strength to India, but what clothes left in the center of power in the country give to Punjab farmers?” He asked.
He said these clothes did not have a road map to issue farmers from debt or to improve soil health.
Punjab farmers need modern facilities from plants to sow to sell their products.
They need modern cold storage, food gardens, and food processing industries, and better connectivity to export their products, the prime minister is underlined.
“The government of our double machine will work at a fast speed in these areas,” he said.
“For the welfare of small farmers, our government continues to take steps.
The recent example is fertilizer.
Last year, for phosphate and potasic fertilizer (P & K), our government increases subsidies by almost Rs 45,000 Crore.” For urea we increase subsidies with almost Rs 35,000 Crore.
In this budget too, for fertilizer subsidies, we have maintained the provisions of the amount of money, “he said.
Modi also said that for the first time, farmers received payment of minimum support prices (MSP) directly to their bank account in Punjab.
Drawing comparisons between his government and upa Led by the previous congress, he said before the Government of NDA in 2014, Payjab Farmers received almost Rs 1 Lakh Crore as Paddy MSP, while for seven years the central government today, they got almost.
Rs 2.25 lakh crore.
He said the Government Government has given a crore of Rs 1.60 lakh for wheat, which is almost doubled from previous years from the previous regime.
With the help of the Center, the Indian Management Institute (IIM) appeared in Amritsar and the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bathinda, he said.
PM said the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra toll road will also pass many Punjab districts and Rs 40,000 Crore from the total number of AKA n Spent on this toll road will be in Punjab, which will provide encouragement for many industries.
He said if there was a government that gave, the new industry would come to the country.
He said Punjab, who was once used to provide work to young people from other states, witnessing migration and this situation can be changed with the development of industry and infrastructure.
“Gobindarh baths are traditionally known as steel cities.
To compete in the international market, the types of infrastructure needed, attention needs to be paid at it.
Under ‘one district one product’, the Government NDA will develop industrial centers like this,” he said.
The Ludhiana textile industry needs to be given encouragement and the center has begun the incentive scheme related to production for the textile sector, he added.
In particular, this scheme aims to improve domestic manufacturing and export.
When the government will be formed here, the scheme will be implemented that will take punjab to new heights and take it on the development path, Modi added.
