Shimla: This center is fully prepared to overcome the possibility of the third wave of Covid-19 and the provisions of RS 23,123 have been made for this purpose, information union and the Minister of Broadcasting Thakur said here on Friday.
He said special emphasis was given to strengthen pediatric care amid fears that the third wave could affect children more than others.
Thakur, who was in ‘Jan Asphwad Yatra’ five days in his home country Himachal Pradesh, spoke to reporters here.
This is his first visit to the state after being sworn in as an Union cabinet minister.

A provision of RS 23,123 has been made to deal with it, said Thakur, who is also the Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs.
Special emphasis is given to strengthen child care when experts are afraid that the third wave can affect children more than others, he said.
Some experts have warned that the third wave of Covid-19 can affect children more while others say there is little reason to believe this theory.
However, experts agree that there is a need to improve Covid pediatric services in this country.
So far, India has reported 3,23,58,829 cases of Covid-19 and 4,33,589 deaths from this disease, according to the Ministry of Health Union.
Thakur started ‘Jan Ashirwaad Yatra’ from Parwanoo in the Solan District on Thursday.
He will cover a distance of 623 km in all four Constituents of Lok Sabha and 37 assembly segments in eight districts in the state.
