Rohtak: BKU Leader Rakesh Titikit on Saturday blamed the central government for Lynching a Dalit man, accused of tarnishing the Sikh holy book, Teacher Granth Sahib, on the Singhu border.
“The incident occurred near the border site where law enforcement agencies remained in large quantities.
What did they do when the murder episode was taking place for hours?” Asked Tikait, who attended Kisan Mahapachayat here on Saturday.
Responding to the query of who should be responsible for the murder, Tikait said it was the center of the responsibility to see what had happened.
He alleged that the central government had invested a lot in violating peace agitation by farmers at the Delhi border.
In the inconvenience caused by the road blockade at the location of the protest, Tikait said they did not block any way, but it was a police department who had built the walls and barricades placed.
“We haven’t arrived with a barricade; it is a police blocking the road.
The farmers will be happy to shift their agitation to the Indian gate, such as our predecessor in 1988,” he added.
Gurnam Singh Charuni, BKU leader (Charuni), said it was no coincidence that Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar had made his party members to take a stick against farmers, and then the Lakhimpur incident also took place.
“CM Khattar advised his party members to take a stick but we will continue to do our agitation peacefully”, he added.
Commenting on the murder of the Dalit men at the Singhu border, Charuni said that he had never been to a protest site after murder and would respond only after visiting the place after finding land reality.
Mla Mla Sombir Sangwan and Balraj Kundu also attended Mahapachayat together with farmer leaders.
