The Center must distribute RS 4 Lakh Crore which is raised from an increase in oil prices between countries: Banerjee Mamata

Kolkata: Claiming that the center has collected Rs 4 Lakh Crore at the last time of the increase in fuel prices, West Bengal Head Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday demanded that the money be distributed fairly among countries.
Banerjee, during the assembly session, alleged that the union government had slashed out recently on gasoline and diesel, taking into account the upcoming assembly selection in five countries.
“The central government has collected around Rs 4 Lakh Crore from taxes collected from selling gas cooking, gasoline, and diesel at prices that are increasing.
Now, they (BJP) want countries to reduce VAT.
Where did their money get their money? This center must distribute that Rs 4 Lakh Crore is evenly distributed among countries, “he said while talking to the Western Bengal Assembly.
Cm further said that the state has provided several subsidies even though there are financial constraints.
“Every time the election is close, they (center) reduce prices.
After that it ends, they increase it again.
Those who teach us at oil prices must first answer where the state government will get the money.
The union government does not give us our funds,” He said, targeting BJP, which has threatened to launch “movement” if VAT on oil is not reduced.
Banerjee also accused the central government to maintain motorized treatment to Bengal during the distribution of vaccines among countries.
“The number of vaccines distributed to us is far less than what is given to countries such as Uttar Pradesh.
We have ensured that there are not a few vaccine doses that are wasted,” he said.
