Ranchi: CPI (M) Politburo members Brinda Karat on Thursday demanded that the union government form a judicial investigation in the death of social activist FR Stan Swamy.
He said agitation of the incident would intensify if their request was ignored.
When overcoming ‘Raj Bhawan March’ organized by CPI, CPI (ML), CPI (M) and the Marxist Coordination Committee (MCC), Rust said Swamy sent to prison as part of the consprusion to suppress the sounds of opposition.
He added that he died of lack of care for his illness.
In particular, Karat told the media that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) captured Swamy last October without evidence about the pretext of further investigation but did not ask it once until June.
Describing the death of the Swamy custodian as a criminal act, he said the law prevention laws that violated the law (UPA), where Swamy was arrested, must be canceled.
Speaking during Raj Bhawan March, Secretary of the State CPI B P Mehta accused that since the Government NDA in the middle, he tried to suppress the opposition by institutionalizing false cases.
CPI (ML) Mla Binod Singh reiterated the demand for judicial investigations against the death of Swamy.
He said the pro-person problem raised by Swamy would not be allowed to be subdued.
Some leaders from the left party, including Janardhan Prasad of CPI (ML), MithLesh Singh from MCC, Prakash Viplav CPI (M), Mahendra Pathak from CPI and social activist Dayamani Barla, participated in protests.
Swamy, who was 84, died at Mumbai Hospital on July 5.
He was arrested by Nia on charges of alleged relationship with Maois and in connection with the sustainable probe of Bhima-Koregaon 2018 violence in Pune.
Swamy in the past denied the allegations.
