Pune: After the central government reduced customs in gasoline and diesel, the head of the Sharad Pawar NCP on Friday demanded the release of GST compensation to countries so that the state government could reduce value added tax (PPN) on fuel.
Speaking to reporters here today, said pawar, “if the center channeled GST compensation to all countries, it is possible for the state government to reduce VAT on gasoline and diesel and apply other welfare schemes.” Pawar’s statement took place after the Ministry of Finance on Wednesday announced a deduction of Rs 5 per liter in customs in gasoline and 10 pieces of Rs 10 per liter in customs in Diesel.
In the middle of high fuel recordings, this is the first piece in central excise duties in more than three years.
The head of the NCP also confirmed that Deputy Chairperson of the Minister Ajit Pawar and other staff had been tested positive for Covid-19.
“As a precautionary measure, the doctors have asked for the pawar to remain in home isolation for several days,” he added.
