New Delhi: The center on Friday rushed high-level teams to six countries considering the number of higher Covid-19 cases reported by them.
The multi-disciplinary team of two members has been deployed in Kerala, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Manipur – said the Ministry of Health in a statement.
The central team will support countries in handling pandemics by effectively carrying out covid measures management.
These teams will monitor the overall implementation of Covid-19 steps, especially in testing, including surveillance operations and detention, the appropriate behavior of covid, logistics including hospital beds, ambulances and ventilators.
In addition, they will provide advice on improvement in public health activities on each state government.
In sustainable efforts to strengthen the efforts of various states and trade unions (UTS) for Covid management, the central government has become the representative of the team from time to time to visit various states and UTS.
These teams interact with state authorities and UT and get the first hand understanding of the challenges and problems facing them to eliminate congestion, if any.
