The center tells the transfer of HC CJ to Meghalaya

Chennai: Five days after the recommendation of the Supreme Court Collegium, the center on Monday told the transfer of the main justice of Madras Sanjib Banerjee to Meghalaya.
Previously on that day, the part of the Advocate conducted a demonstration at the Madras High Court premise which demanded consideration of college transfer.
“The colleague’s recommendation has instilled fear between other upright judges in the High Court in a non-biased assessment,” Advocate Ngr Prasad who led the protest.
On November 12, more than 200 lawyers made a representation asking the colleagium to reconsider the decision.
On November 14, The Madras Bar Association (MBA) and the Advocate Association of the Madras High Court (MHAA) passed a resolution that demanded the consideration of college colleagues.
Recommendation to move the chairman of the Banerjee judge was made by the Collegium on September 16.
It was publicly made on November 9, Monday, the notification issued by the Ministry of Law Union, “the President after consulting with the Chairman of Indian Justice was pleased to move Justice Sanjib Banerjee, Chief Justice of Madras Madras, as Chair of the Meghalaya High Court and directed him to assume office allegations.”
