The Center will soon provide assistance to people affected by fuel rises: Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma

Guwahati: Assam CM Himanta Buswa Sarma on Monday said he believed the center would soon bring assistance to people who have been hit by the increase in fuel prices continuously.
“The increase in fuel prices is of course about people.
I believe the Indian government will discuss with countries from where we import fuel and immediately provide assistance to people,” Sarma said.
After another increase in gasoline, Diesel and LPG on Sunday, the price of one liter of gasoline has reached Rs 100.38 while a liter of diesel shot up to RS 92.29 in the city.
On Monday, the price of LPG also hiking to Rs 948.50 per cylinder.
Sarma added, “In February, we have attracted VAT of Rs 5 on gasoline and diesel in the state and we have not picked it up anymore.” According to the national price list of gasoline and diesel on Monday, Andhra Pradesh has the lowest price for both – RS 87.24 for one liter of gasoline and 80.21 for one liter of diesel.
At the other end of the price spectrum, gasoline is very expensive in Madhya Pradesh – Rs 113.02 per liter – while Diesel is very expensive in Rajsathan with Rs 102.69 per liter.
Under the dynamic fuel price regime, gasoline and diesel rates in this country are revised every day and therefore variations in global oil prices are reflected in price increases in the domestic market.
Fuel prices in the retail market include excise tasks, VAT, dealer commissions added to the base price.
Fuel prices are also influenced by US dollars to exchange rate rupees, crude oil costs, fuel demand.
