The central government scheme is only on paper at Cantt Secunderabad

Secunderabad: Some central government schemes are not used by residents of the Secunderabad Cantonment area, especially due to lack of consciousness.
In the official portal, the Cantonment Secunderabad (SCB) board has displayed 15 central government schemes, but only two – ‘Swachh Bharat’ and ‘PM Svanidhi Yojana (Street Vendor Atma Nirbahar Nidhi)’ – operate.
The scarcity of publicity for the scheme and apathy SCB officials, the residents said, is to blame the situation.
Ironically, officials at SCB said they did not know the majority status of the scheme or whether they were utilized at all.
Even students don’t know about the sponsored schemes centered for them.
For example, many do not know post-matrix and pre-matrix scholarships for minorities, merit-cum scholarships for professional and technical courses and national fellowship.
“UNI Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, a resident of Cantonment should not be deprived of the welfare scheme.
But here, the implementation of the welfare scheme remains a daydream,” said K.
Sojanya, a retired bank employee, and a resident of Diamond Point, Bowenpally.
Talking about the importance of the scheme of the Pemring, A V Karthik, a private school teacher, said, “SCB can arrange special camps to educate people.” Social worker, M Madhusudhan, said, “If you visit the SCB office, you can’t find a poster from the central scheme.” Approved the need for further action, a former SCB board member, admitted that the implementation of the scheme was bad.
The main scheme is like the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (Amrut) – which aims to provide basic facilities such as water and sanitation – is a distant dream.
The Ministry of Defense has extended this scheme for all 62 Cantonese.
The marathon exercise to apply PM Svanidhi Yojana has been going on for the past year, but has not been formed.
About 1,000 road vendors have been identified, but the benefits have not reached them.
A SCB official said, “The lack of staff and pandemic is the reason for delay”.
All welfare schemes are on the official portal and they can be disbursed by following legal procedures, said SCB officials.
