New Delhi: The central leaders have asked me to continue as the main minister and strengthen the party, Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa said there was speculation about the possibility of change in leadership and cabinet.
“There are no questions about leadership changes in the state,” he said.
Previously today, Yediyurappa fired rumors about him being replaced as the main minister and said the BJP leadership had asked him to ensure the development of the party and it won all the upcoming elections.
“Yesterday I met PM, we discussed the development of the country and I will come back again in August.
There is no value from news like that,” said Yediyurappa.
Yediyurappa met with the Head of BJP J P Nadda, and the Minister of Union and Senior Party leader Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh today, the day after meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
After a 20-minute meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Yediyurappa said reporters that they only discussed delayed jobs in the state, including the Mekedatu dam project on the Cauvery River.
“I asked the Prime Minister to facilitate the initial implementation of several projects and he agreed,” said the Head of the Minister of Karnataka.
