Mumbai: A senior engineer part with a recent central train cheated by Cyberfaudsters posing as executives from a financial company and cheats him to transfer money to their loan processing pretext.
The 50-year-old engineer recorded a complaint with the Government Railway (GRP) police at CSMT on September 6.
According to complaints, the engineer was working when he received a telephone call on August 7, he said he was an executive with a financial company and 2.5 lakh loan was approved for engineers.
He then asked the engineer to download the application from the Google Play Store.
Engineers cannot do it.
On this case, the caller asked if he used a digital wallet and then set the link.
The caller said that the engineer was needed to pay Rs 5,159.
Engineers trusted him and followed all the instructions provided by Cyberfaudster.
In a few moments, three transactions occurred and a number of Rs 27,000 were debited from an engineer account.
Furious, he relates to fraudsters and demands a refund.
Cyberpraudster claims there is a server problem and he will get his boss to resolve the problem.
Now, other cyberfaudsters joined the call and delayed the other 10,266 engineers.
Realizing that the men cheated, engineers approached the police.
GRP looks for the defendant.
