Mangaluru: Rev.
Ivan d’Souza, a mangalore diocese priest, and professor in philosophy in inter-dioxane seminaries, Jeppu, has been appointed as a new Professor and Head of Mangalore Chair in Christainity, Mangalore University.
He assumed the office on Thursday, at the Center Pastoral Shanthi Kir, Bajjodi, with the presence of Rev.
Santhosh Rodrigues, Director of the Pastoral Center Shanthi Kiran, Very Rev Ronald Serrao, Chancellor, St.
Joseph Seminary, Jeppu, Very Rev Antony Serra, board of education secretary, and other Imam Rev Ivan obtained his PhD in Philosophy of Jnana Deepa Institute of Philosophy and theology, Pune, in 2018.
He has taught Indian philosophy at St Joseph InterdioCesan Seminary since 2018.
He comes from the St Dominic Church in Miyar, Karkala.
