New York: The challenge of Indian singles ended in US Open qualifiers after Prajnesh Gunneswaran was handed over to fall asleep by American Christopher Eubanks in the second round here.

156 India, who wants to make his second appearance at the US Open Main Draws, down 3-6 4-6 to Eubanks, ranked 216th, in a 50-minute show on Thursday night.
The 31-year-old Gunneswaran has qualified for the main draw in 2019, when he lost to Russia Danil Medvedev in the opening round.
Two other Indian players in the commotion in the men’s singles qualification, Sumit Nagal and Ramkumar Ramanathan, made the exit of openings at the beginning of the week.
Nagal lost 5-7 6-4 3-6 to Argentina’s Juan Pablo Ficovich while Ramkumar wasted a one-set profit to lose 6-4 6-7 (1) 4-6 to Russia Evgeny Donskoy.
Ankita Raina was also overthrown from the tournament after losing its first round match in a single women’s qualifying 3-6 6-2 4-6 to American Jamie Loeb.
