Qualcomm last month said that it will launch the chipset that can be used next immediately.
However, it does not reveal the name of the chip.
According to the report by XDA developers, the processor can be called Snapdragon Wear 5100.
The report said that Qualcomm has uploaded a new code to the Aurora code forum.
It has an ID “Law.Um.2.0-00700-SW5100.0” and the questioned is conceived ‘Monaco’.
The law in the code stands for ‘Linux Android Wear’ (previous name for Wearos).
Um can mean ‘integrated modem’.
SW511, on the other hand, is expected to be a short term for Snapdragon Wear 5100, which can be a platform marketing name.
The chipset, according to the report, is currently being developed on the Linux kernel 5.4.
This is likely to run on the Android 10 or Android 11 operating system, as suggested by the code.
When the smartwatches run on the existing Qualcomm platform – Snapdragon Wear 4100 will be eligible for OS3 updates, the possibility of upcoming chipsets can also be eligible for updates.
Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 5100 is expected to come with a quad-core processor with core arm Cortex-A63.
In comparison, Snapdragon Wear 4100 has a Quad-Core Cortex-A53 configuration.
Two of Qualcomm Samsung’s biggest clients and Google turned into enemies.
Samsung has partnered with AMD and focuses on the exynos chip and is expected to finally stop using the Snapdragon chipset.
Google, earlier this week announced that the upcoming 6 pixel phone will be powered by the Google Tensor chipset, instead of the Snapdragon processor.
Google has also announced its plan to rebuild Wearo with new partners – Samsung.
