Chennai: All universities in Tamil Nadu have to start entry only after July 31 after the declaration of class XII results, the Higher Education Minister K Ponmudi, Monday.
Following the announcement of the evaluation criteria for class XII students, the Minist of Higher Education and other officials on Monday held a meeting with the chairman of Minister M K Stalin at college acceptance.
CBSE and the State Council have announced that they will declare the results of class XII based on evaluation criteria before July 31.
“College needs to consider CBSE and the State XII Marks board to rank students to provide acceptance.
The two boards will solve the sign before July 31.
So, acceptance to the government, government assisted by government and private universities will begin only after July 31 , “Minister said.
“We know that some private universities have begun acceptance.
The main minister instructs that college revenues must begin only after the declaration of class XII results.
So, college acceptance will begin on August 1, the government will take action,” he said.
However, acceptance to polytechnic colleges based on the class IX sign began last week.
In accordance with the evaluation method announced by the state government, class X exam will bring a 50% cancellation while the XI class sign will carry a weight of 20%.
The government provides 30% weights for internal assessment of class XII and practical examinations.
He said there was no connection between the cancellation of MPhil by Madras University and 2020 national education policy.
“The opinion was divided among the teachers and students about the need for the MPHIL title.
Some universities have stopped it.
But, it is not connected with NEP.” Ponmudi added.
He said the government would take steps to appoint professors in Tamil Nadu as representative of Chancellor of Anna University and Annamalai University.
