Bengaluru: The workplace changes permanently, and the chief executive needs to have a telescopic vision on how to handle employees during this crisis clock, said Ajit Issac, CEO and MD, one of the largest private sector employers in the country.
He spoke in ‘Hope Shots: Preparing the next wave’ Webinar held by the Times of India and supported by Bank Negara India and Skanray.
“This is the time of testing for the CEO,” Isaac said.
“They need to plan situations around them, galvanized systems and work with distributed workers who work from their homes or hometowns.” Vishal Bali, executive chairman, Asia Healthcare Holdings, said his concern was all about the company’s preservation after preserving human resources, which was different from the previous age.

Issac said there were three trends playing at the workplace transformation: preferences for temporary staff or performances, adopting a hybrid work model and companies that adopted a more humane approach.
“Access to data systems and the method of agnostic methods has become the biggest boost for the hybrid work model along with better connectivity,” he said.
“Also, the company takes steps to ensure it does not allow employees to leave.
