New Delhi: CEO of the National Health Authority and Senior Member of the Founding Team Aadhaar Hospital Sharma on Wednesday criticized some restrictions imposed by Indian’s unique identification authorities for the use of unique IDs due to worries around privacy.
Sharma, who was the first Director General of Uidai, said that the concept of vault data was wrong which had a negative impact on the aadhaar purpose.
“ACTHAAR ACT said Aadhaar information must be safely stored.
Aadhaar number is not an identity.
It (Vault data) such as placing all numbers on currency notes into several safes that say that these numbers will not be disclosed.

Uidai recently introduced the concept of Vault Aadhaar data which is a centralized storage for all aadhaar numbers collected by official agents.
The purpose of the Vault Data Aadhaar, as explained by Uidai, is to reduce the footsteps of the aadhaar numbers in the system and environmental environment thereby reducing illegal access risk.
Sharma said that then Uidai had come up with the concept that Aadhaar would not be published wrong.
“I mean, it’s my Aadhaar.
Individual numbers don’t belong to the government.

How can someone tell me that if I publish my Aadhaar number, you will be imprisoned.

Sharma said that the Supreme Court rights have defined reasonable privacy expectations and assessments followed by amendments that allow the use of aadhaar voluntarily to prove their identity.
