New Delhi: After being ratified in Lok Sabha, the Constitution (one hundred and seven robbors) Bill, 2021 was introduced at Rajya Sabha for his approval on Wednesday.
Introducing the Bill, Minister of Justice and Empowerment of Virendra Kumar said the bill was trying to clarify that the state government and the union area were empowered to prepare and maintain a list of their own sebcs.
The Minister informed that the bill if he graduated would change the article 342 a (clause 1 and 2).
“This will introduce a new clause – 342 A (3) specifically ratify the country to maintain a list of their country.
The bill will provide strength to countries to directly notify the social and education classes (SEBC) without referring to the National Commission for the National Commission for Backward class (NCBC), “said Minister.
He added that the amendment in Bill would provide that the President could only notify the list of social and educational class centers.
In particular, amendments in this bill will change the 102nd Constitutional Amendment Act, which provides constitutional status to NCBC and gives power to the president to notify the Sebcs list.
After the bill was introduced, in the rare view of the unity of opposition leaders agreed to discuss the bill, but the opposition leader Malikarjun Kharge and RJD MP Manoj Jha asked for a seat to increase the time for opposition leaders to talk to the bill.
After several opposition from the government, the discussion time increased to four hours from three hours.
