Gurgaon: Working on infrastructure projects throughout the city has not been continued, even though the prohibition is imposed on construction because the high level of pollution has been appointed.
Officials said they still made preparations for the commencement.
The ban was appointed on Monday.
Officials from the Indian National Highway Authority (NHAI) and Public Works Department (PWD) said some workers had left the project location, and would take several days for them to return.
“We have issued direction to resume work on our project site.
Maybe it takes a few days for construction to actually start on the ground, because workers must be mobilized.
Many of them have left the site because nothing has happened for weeks,” Said a senior official from Nhai, who was carrying out the two biggest projects in the city -dwarka toll road and the road as high as Sohna.
PWD confirmed this: “The ban was in a place that was almost continuous for one month, so that all workers had left the construction site and went to another place.
We called them back and hoped to continue the work in one or two more days,” said a person Official.
Apart from its own projects, PWD is executing two major projects on behalf of the GMDA Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) – Underpass and Flyover Development in Atul Kataria Chowk, and the construction of pathways, pathways and services in Mahavir Chowk.
GMDA officials, meanwhile, said they began development on several of their project sites on Monday.
However, with the power of workers is still low, the work has not started in full swing.
“Some workers are present on some of our websites, and we have started construction.
We have mobilized the remaining workers and hope to see an increase in number from Tuesday,” said a senior GMDA official.
However, officials from PWD, NHAI, and GMDA, acknowledged that the construction ban – was first applied from November 14 to November 21, and then again from November 24 and so on – would have an impact on the project deadline.
“Our deadlines will naturally be affected because construction is stopped for one month means losing a lot of time,” GMDA official said.
Meanwhile, PWD said their project would be delayed, adding that the contractor “will get the extension benefits”.
“Our deadline may be affected.
We hope to redeem the lost time,” Nhai officials said.
However, an official Privy for the Dwarka Expressway project, “said,” the deadline will definitely be influenced by the work stopped for a month.
Our project has been at a very critical stage and on a very tight deadline, so the prohibition will have an impact.
