The contest for board chairs took heat like JD, Cong announced candidates

BK Lakshmikanhamsuru: Even though JD (s) and Congress have announced candidates for each of their parties for the upcoming elections to the southern graduate chair at the Legislative Council, BJP has not yet declared a candidate for polls.
The chair is currently held by JD, who wants to maintain control of the segment, which is spread in MySuru District, Mandya, Hassan and Chamarajanagar, where the regional party has become the dominant force.
JD (s) has decided to fight the Incumbent Fielding MLC KT Srikantegowda, chose HK Ramu, former President of the United States State Card Karnataka, instead.
Meanwhile, Congress, has decided to involve Madhu Madegowda, the son of former MP Ga Madegowda, in elections.
Madhu, who did not succeed in the election of the Assembly from the Maddur Constituency, lost his opponent, has begun to campaign for the election of the council.
He has reached local leaders in all four districts, trying to gather support, and mobilize party cadres.
The constituency has registered a surge in the number of voters, with more than 20,000 graduates added to the selection scroll.
The Election Commission tends to allow the addition of graduates to rolls until the date of the poll was announced in June.
At all, there were 1.33 registered voters in the entire election, including women.
When the selection was held in 2016, the number of voters in the election reached 1.15 lakh.
There were rolled predictions that swelled up to two lakh, when the voter list was revised in March and April.
Most new voters are included in the roll since the last election are dalit and members of the classroom and minority community.

“Madhusudhan is a senior party leader who has been chosen as Three Board, and has a close connection with the BJP Central Leadership.
Ravishankar, on the other hand, is a grassroots worker with Parivar Sangh’s support,” said a source JD (s).
The President of the City Unit of Mysuru BJP TS Srivatsa said that, there were six candidates in the race for party tickets.
“BJP Senior Members seek feedback from party workers in the region, and choose the name of the six candidates.
The final decision will be taken, and candidates announce within a week,” said Srivatsa.
JD.
Next year’s election, both from Maddur or Nagamangala.
Although BJP was used to win seats easily earlier, the increase in the number of voters, especially those from the minority community, the back and Dalit class, has resulted in the Kunyit that loses the segment.
