Ahmedabad: Gujarat and High Middle Education Agency (GSHSEB) has decided to conduct a board test in pen-and-paper format for class 12 science students who are not satisfied with the results of those who are recently declared.
Such students are to submit their results to their school in August 3.
Exams will be held for three days from August 12 to August 14, the official council said.
There will be two subject papers a day.
Gshseb expects around 500 students to take the exam.
A total of 1.07,267 students have cleared class 12 science results stated by Secondary Gujarat and Secondary Education Council (GSHSEB) last month.
Given the Covid-19 situation earlier this year, the State Education Department has decided last month to cancel the council exam and provide mass promotion to students.
The Board has established criteria for evaluating the academic performance of students in class 12 based on performance-based developments.
As many as 3245 students receive the highest ratings of class A-1 given to students who have 90% and more in all subjects are put together.
These include grade 12 science students Group A, Group B and Group AB.
For Group A, 1,629 students get a A-1 score based on their academic performance while for Group B or students who have chosen biology instead of mathematics, a total of 1,614 students awarded values.
For AB groups, four students receive a value of 1, according to data compiled by GSHSEB.
