Nagpur: The State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has taken over the death of the custodian which is considered from Manoj Thawkar 40 years from the city police on Tuesday.
Thawkar is physically challenged and blinded.
Previously on that day, Postmortem Thawkar was carried out on the camera by a team of three forensic experts in the presence of one-class justice judge (JMFC) at the Government and Hospital Medical College (GMC).
Sources say postmortem reports cannot be concluded with experts ‘order their opinions’, referring cases for histo-pathological examinations.
The initial findings only track several abrasions on the upper right arm and his right leg.
City Police will now send postmortem recordings, along with relevant documents, with national and state human rights commissions separately, said City Police Chief Amitesh Kumar, who took the initiative to communicate with the state police headquarters to ensure the Cid Country Casing , Thawker was allegedly attacked by police at a security checkpoint near the Hanuman Temple in Pardi, after he tried to escape on his scooter who injured the Mukesh Dhoble sub-inspector.

Even though family members claimed Thawker had never been diagnosed with serious health conditions, such as heart problems, to die so suddenly, the police said the CCTV footage underlined the fact that he fainted while waiting at the police station without anyone physically knew him.
“The police showed our CCTV footage from my sister at the police station but we had heard him destroyed.
Some injuries were also seen near his eyes,” said the Thawkar Vinod brother.
He said the government should consider giving work to his brother’s wife and compensation to the family.
Thawkar was said to be taken dead at a private hospital after fainting at the Pardi police station.
In the midst of the guess that Thawkar was hit by the police about the task of the bandobast, Pardi police registered an accidental case of death.
An officer said CCTV cameras at the police station showed Thawkar sat alone from 18:30 to 8:30 a.m.
without anyone attacking him.
Police sources also said Thawkar had asked for water, after that he fainted holding his chest.
“The officers who were injured by Thawkar had been dragged for around 200 meters but the last did not stop, which had been arrested on CCTV.
Two civilians helped the police chase Thawkar.
He might fall from his scooter in riot but this is under the probe now,” said Senior police.
