Chennai: Three people including couples have been captured by Central Crime Branch (CCB) to deceive the public for the tone of several Lakh Rupees promising their work in Chennai Port Trust (CPT).
One of the accused, V Suresh, 54, had imitated himself as Port Trust official.
The city police registered a case after complaint from a retired official of the truck manufacturing company at Ennore.
The complainant, Venkateswaran, lost around ₹ 54 Lakh tried to make his son work at the CPT, according to the police.
According to officials, Venkatess has paid the allegations of ₹ 54 lakh in installments from 2018 to January 2021, with the hope of utilizing the Junior Executive Officer Post in Chennai Port Trust for his son who was accused of main, SG Swadeeswaran, 37, and his wife, and his wife, S Yamini, 36 , The TNHB colony, Korattur has claimed that they became acquainted with several senior officials in Trust Port Chennai and that they would be able to secure work for Venkatess’s son.

After the pair continued to avoid Venkatess without getting a job for his son and failed to return the money, he filed a complaint with the Office of the City Police Commissioner, after that the defendant was secured.

The defendant was produced before the judge and returned in the custody of the judiciary.
The police have appealed to the public not to believe brokers or agents that promise government work and deceive them.
