The couple ridden on the debt hangs to death

Coimbatore: Suicide pair with hanging from the ceiling of their apartment in the Saranlatur Housing Unit here on Tuesday morning because they cannot pay loans.
They survived by a son, a class XII student, and a daughter, a class IX student.
Police Santanallur identified the deceased like M Mohammed Hanif, 44, and wife M Mumtaj, 39.
Hanif was a lineman with Tangedco for the salary of consolidation.
A police officer said Hanif had fallen from the electricity pole six months ago, injuring his spinal cord.
“After that, he could not work and the couple borrowed several lakh rupees from various people.
Because they could not pay the amount, they decided to end their lives.” When the couple did not come out of their house even at 11am on Tuesday , said the officer, the neighbor knocked on their door.
“Because there was no response, they entered the house and found the couple hanging from the ceiling using Sari.
Their sons fell asleep, while the daughter was at her uncle’s house in Tirupur.” When was told, police Saranlatur restored the corpse and sent them to Coimbatore Medical College and hospital for postmortem.
The bodies will be handed over to family members after autopsy on Wednesday afternoon.
