New Delhi: Given the Captain Vikram Batra, who made the highest sacrifice during the Cargil War, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said on Friday that the passion of rooted handsful heroes would always be an inspiration for generations.
Speaking during the launch of a series of events on Friday to mark the 75th anniversary of Indian independence, Singh paid homage to all the brave ones who put their lives defend the country’s sovereignty and integrity.
He congratulated the Ministry and Armed Forces to regulate events throughout the country, which will instill a sense of national pride among the public.
He said that such events represented the Indian ethos ‘unity in diversity’.
Singh also threw light on five pillars of freedom, ideas in 75, achievement in 75, action in 75 and completed 75 – imagined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi when he began the celebration of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ in March.

Singh stated that five pillars will act as a power guide for the country to move forward on the development path.
Quling the government’s determination, Singh said, “We aim to develop a strong and independent ‘Bharat’ who loves peace, but is fully able to provide appropriate answers whenever challenged.” He also convinced the nation that the armed forces to handle every challenge that endangers the safety, security, unity and integrity of the nation.
He said the decision aimed at promoting concocuting among the armed forces would play an important role in strengthening state security infrastructure.
Repeating the government’s action plan to make India ‘Aatmanirbhar’ (himself), Singh said there was no stone missing to make a country independent in making defense.
Singh said the state dependence on imports has declined far because of the steps taken by the government, including notifying two positive indigenization lists to promote the independence and exports of defense.
He also mentions specifically about the Vikrant Indigmenous Aircraft Carrier (IAC), the first aircraft carrier to be built in India, by saying that it is a great moment of pride for the entire nation when his aircraft carrier presents the first sea trip recently.
Singh also praised the armed forces and organizations that were different from the Ministry of Defense to provide sustainable support to civil administration in the war against Covid-19.
He highlighted the important role played by the Organization of Research and Defense Development (DRDO) in establishing Covid Care Hospitals throughout the country and developed anti-covid ‘2-DG’ drugs.
He also praised the armed forces to provide logistical support to civil authorities to meet oxygen requirements.
The Defense Minister also congratulated the Indian contingent for his excellent performance at the Tokyo Olympics which was recently concluded, especially the Chopra Neeraj Subording which bagged the only gold in Tokyo in Tokyo.
