The court denied pre-capture guarantees to the Deepika manager

Special NDPS Court here on Thursday rejected the plea of pre-capture of actress Bollywood Deepika Padukone’s Manager Karishma Prakash in a drug case related to the death of actor Singh Rajput.
Afraid of being arrested in drug-related probes into Rajput’s death, Prakash has submitted an anticipatory assurance application before the Narcotics Narcotics Court and psychotropic substances (NDPS) in October last year.
After hearing extensive shipments made by defense and prosecution, Special Judge VV Widwans rejected his request for anticipatory guarantee.
But the court, however, remained orders until August 25 to allow Prakash to close to the Bombay High Court.
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has investigated the alleged Nexus between drug sellers and Bollywood celebrities which was revealed after Rajput’s death in June last year.
The CBI separately investigates the case of Rajput death.
Prakash’s name appeared during the interrogation of one of the drug vendors arrested.
The central body has so far captured more than 20 people as part of its investigation into drug cases.
Most of the defendants, including the final girlfriend of the Rhea Chakraborty actor, came out at the current guarantee.
