The court extended the detention of Ed son-in-law Khadse

Mumbai: Special Court here on Thursday was extended until July 19 detention Ed Leader NCP Eknath Khadse’s son-in-law Girish Chaudhari in case of money laundering associated with alleged irregularities in the purchase of land in Pune.
Chaudhari was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on July 6 after being questioned in length in connection with the case.
At the end of the previous detention of Chaudhari on Thursday, he was produced before the special court hearing case under the prevention of money laundering Law (PMLA).
The court expanded his rights as sought after by Ed to investigate this issue further.
Ed has alleged that Chaudhari and Khadse have bought government land in Bhosari near Pune for RS 3.75 Crore when the actual cost of the land according to the assessment given by the sub-registrar is Rs 31.01 Crore.
The agency said it seemed Khadse, who then the Minister of Revenue Minister, by misusing its official position, has “forced and forced” relevant officials to facilitate the purchase of the Maharashtra Industry Development Company (MIDC) by him.
Family in the Bhosari area.
Khadse, 68, has left BJP to join the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) former Minister of Maharashtra Sharad Pawar last year.
He was questioned in this case by ED earlier this year.
Khadse has resigned from the Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis cabinet led in 2016 after facing charges in the same land transaction.
However, he has denied any mistakes, saying that the anti-corruption bureau of Maharashtra, and the income tax department, has given him clean chit in this matter.
