Mumbai: The death toll of Covid-19 for January in the state across 1,000-marks – for the first time after October (1,120) – with additional more than 250 deaths in the last four days in a month.
There were 474 deaths in November and 233 in December.
The latest numbers showed 1,043 lives lost in January because the third wave spread from large districts to cover the country.
This increase is more than four times the December toll road.
State officials showed that the January case mortality rate of 0.1% was the lowest in a pandemic.
CFR in December was 0.5% and 1.8% in November.

“The possibility of death may have been disadvantaged to a certain extent because of low testing,” he said.
