Pune: The number of Daily Covid-19 cases increased to 11,748 in the Pune Metropolitan region (PMR) on Tuesday, the highest calculation of one-day patient since April 29 last year when 11,872 people have tested positive.
The case of Tuesday rises following a decrease in detection Monday, trends that are often associated with fewer tests over the weekend.
However, the number of tests were less carried out in PMR on Tuesday compared to the previous day, but cases still surged, which could be caused by delayed testing reports, said a health official.
Barring Monday, cases remain above 10,000 for three days to week, data provided by district health workers, Bhagwan Pawar, shows.
Among new cases, the pune municipal limit added 6,320, followed by the Pimpri Chinchwad region (3,159) and rural areas and Cantonment (2,269).
With this, Caseload PMR has risen above 12.69 lakh.
The recovery, PMR recorded as many as 6,075 release on Tuesday, including 3,380 from the PMC limit, 1,712 from the PCMC area and 982 from rural areas and Cantonese.
So far, more than 11.81 lakh people have been dismissed at PMR after recovering.
31,580 samples were examined in the region on Tuesday.
The first mortuary level reached 37% at PMR on Tuesday.
The count of patients active in this area increased to 68,834 on Tuesday night.
Of these, 66,317 patients were in house isolation.
Eight more patients gave up on infections in the area on Tuesday.
