The Covid Helpline number gets 12,471 calls

New Delhi: The Delhi government received 12,471 calls on Helpline Covid number 1031 for the past week, even when the number of calls saw a slight decline from January 13 to January 16.
The data provided by the City Health Department also shows that between January 10 and January 16, 9,899 calls are accepted for ambulances.
Meanwhile, Health Minister Delhi Satyendar Jain on Monday said the number of fresh Covid-19 cases had reduced in the city for the past few days.
According to the Ministry of Health data, between January 10 (Monday) and January 16 (Sunday), a total of 12,471 calls received in the Government Covid Help number and 9,899 calls for ambulances received separately.
On January 10, the city government received 1,438 calls on the number, which rose to 1,762 a day afterwards and then became 2,062 on January 13 (Thursday).
The number of calls on Helpline began to decline from Thursday.
On Friday, 1,996 calls received, 1,811 calls were received on Saturdays and 1,585 on Sunday.
Similarly, the number of calls for an ambulance increased from 1,095 to 1,703 between January 10 and January 11, but began to reduce afterwards.
On January 12, 1,522 calls received for an ambulance, which then fell to 1.408 on January 13, data showed.
This rose to 1,420 calls on January 14 and then decreased to 1,390 on January 15.
Furthermore it rose to 1,391 on January 16 (Sunday).
Health Office officials said most of the calls received on the helpline number were regarding requests for hospital beds, vaccination, covid testing, symptoms of viruses and problems faced by people in the hospital.
Covid patients also asked for numbers to get a telephone consultation with a doctor, they added.
Previously on that day, Jain said the number of fresh Covid cases had diminished in Delhi and Monday would be the fourth day in a row when the number would be lower than the previous day.
He said the city tended to witness 4,000-5,000 cases less than the number reported on Sunday.
National capital recorded 18,286 Covid-19 cases on Sunday with a 27.8 percent front minister.
A total of 28 deaths from viral diseases are also reported in Sunday’s health bulletins.
