The Covid Maha case fell 34% in August from July

Mumbai: Maharashtra and Mumbai sees a sharp decline in the case and Covid-19 monthly death in August compared to July.
The state reported 1.58 cases of lakh in August, almost 34% less than 2.39 cases of lakh reported in July.
Death in the state reported a further decline from nearly 60% when old death and not reported was not added to the calculation in August.
10,846 deaths were reported in July, most of them were old death due to data reconciliation, while 4,522 deaths were reported in August.
For the city, the victim August 78 deaths of less than five (17%) of the number of toll roads in July when 438 people surrendered to Covid-related complications, while the monthly case fell down 28% from 12.048 in July to 9,048 in August.
If it wasn’t for a slight increase in Covid’s case in the past week, the Covid Mumbai graph will fall further.
On Tuesday, the state reported 4,196 cases and 104 deaths, took a total case to 64.64 lakh and death to 1.37.313.
Mumbai only registered one death and 323 cases (a slight decline of 333 cases on Monday) while the growth rate of the weekly infection reached 0.05% (after falling to 0.03% to two weeks ago).
“If someone looks at the weekly growth rate, it is undeniably that cases in Mumbai have risen a little after the reliant limitation of two weeks back,” said Dr Shashank Joshi, member of the State Task Force.
“There seems to be a reversal in the thinning of a thick tail of a Covid case in Mumbai, but hopefully it will be a surge,” he said.
While fear of the third wave there, BMC officials said adequate health infrastructure to fulfill any surge.
AMC Suresh Kakani said BMC had worked to increase the capacity of Covid beds from 21,000 during the second wave to 30,000.
Dr.
Joshi said that when Curbs continued to be removed, the administration needed to oversee cases and ensure people observed the appropriate behavior of Covid.
