Nagpur: In a joint action, the Cyber Cell Bureau and Wildlife Control Ciber Cell and Mumbai, Mumbai, arrested two people and seized 11 tigers and leopard nails from them.
Last month, 10 tigers and leopard nails were confiscated from Motala in the Buldhana district by the Ministry of Forestry with input from Cyber cells and WCCB.
The defendant has been identified as Dinesh Babulalji Rawal (38), and Anup Arun Rewankar (36), both residents of Karad in Satara Regency.
The defendant planned to sell the remaining nails.
Acting on information that a person has reached an agreement for two nails, forest officials put a trap in the Budhwar Peth area and pounced rawal when he would provide material to the forest team sent by the forest team.
Simultaneously, another attack was carried out in Rewankar, who run a jewelry store at Raviwar Peth.
Officials confiscated eight nails from him and also the pendants embedded with tiger nails.
“The two defendants were ordered under various parts of the ACT of the Wildlife (Protection), 1972.

This is the second joint action in a month by the Matghat Cyber Cell & WCCB which involves trading Tiger and Leopard’s body parts.
On July 13, in the joint action under the director of the field of Melghat Jayoti Banerjee and WCCB Director Yogesh Warkhad, forest officials had arrested three people and won 10 tigers and leopard nails from Motala in Buldhana.
